About Christo Pellani
Recognized internationally as a master drummer/percussionist, educator, and healer, Christo facilitates human potential by creating unique Products and Experiences that blend principles of Rhythm and Sound Awareness, Energy Healing, and Therapeutic Movement for Personal Expression, Growth and Well-Being.
Christo is a certified Tama-Do practitioner, and an Instructor of Tao Yin Fa Series One Chi Gong, and Kototama. He completed his second level Tama – Do training in 2002.
Across his diverse career as a Performer, Facilitator, Social Worker, Classroom Teaching Artist, Music Teacher, Expressive Therapist, and Energy Healer, Christo specializes in quality expressive and healing arts services for schools, retreats, and conferences through unique experiential classes, seminars, ceremonies, and play-shops. His has facilitated events for retreats world wide, including the Men’s Center of Los Angeles, LIVE Yoga/ Wellness, the California Academy of the Healing Arts, as director of the Earth and Sky Lodge healing arts center, and with the TAMA-DO academy.Christo is currently a Teaching Artist for the Los Angeles Dept of Cultural Affairs.
Christo also has extensive international concert performance credentials with a variety of World, Rock, R&B, and Devotional Singing music artists. He is a regularly featured festival performer at the World Festival of Sacred Music, Esalen, and Bhakti Fest. He has performed with the esteemed LUNA NEGRA Ballet, and scores of dance companies internationally. Christo is also a featured performer at Disneyland.
Christo's musical journey led him from entertaining thousands word-wide, to healing and expressive Therapeutic community services. After touring the world playing concerts with the likes of Air Supply, Mary Wells, The Shirrelles, and Fabien Maman, he answered a spiritual calling to support people in knowing the expression of their truth and purpose. Schools, retreats, conferences, and festivals seek after Christo's unique interactive classes, seminars, ceremonies, and play-shops.
Christo was the Creative Director of the Earth and Sky Lodge in Los Angeles from 2004-2009. He has dedicated years with various counseling and therapeutic recreation programs such as The Mens Center of Los Angeles, The Rhythmic Arts Project, Mi Star and Hearts Giving Hope.
Christo is currently the music director and lead drummer for the esteemed SACRED DANCE LIVE, a Los Angeles Based movement meditation theatre specializing in world music sound-scapes.He was featured as one of ten "Unsung Drumming Heroes of Los Angeles" as chosen by BAM magazine.
As a recording artist, He produced 3 critically acclaimed “Soundscape Pyramids” world/ambient albums on his SOUNDFORMATION label.His many film and TV credits include The Today Show, Entertainment Tonight, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Parent Trap Three, The Super, and Casper,a Spirited Beginning, among others.
Christo is an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church and is affiliated with many community service and non-profit organizations providing services for at risk youth and people with disabilities. Christo studies music with various teachers in Africa, Brazil, India, and Bali, and his interests and passions include Kriya Yoga, world music, poetry, teaching children, sacred geometry, and traveling the world. He maintains Personal Expression, Wellness, Coaching,and Music Instruction practices in Los Angeles, CA.
